Another good day yesterday at Chester: 3 Winners (6/1, 3/1 & 2/1)
Two 2nd’s
(14/1 & 7/1) from 6 races.

Total Chester Stats over the 3 days were: Win = 35%, Place = 73%

ASCOT Saturday -

As there’s no winning form to go on with Maiden races, and usually few races between the horses I’m going to start and skip those races.

2.20 (Listed Race) Aiken (Course winner) 2 from 2 on Soft.  Dawn Twister won and placed on Soft & Heavy and won Listed and Placed in Group 3.  Both Distance winners. (4/7 & 3/1)

2.50 (Class 2) Soft Winners: Making Eyes (won at Distance) & Free Verse.  I wanted to add another horse, but untried on Soft or Heavy, so unable to.  She’s a Star the only one to win at this Class, won 2-2 on GS. (6/1, 6/1 & 7/1)

3.25 (Class 2) 24 Runners… Soft form: Bonnie Brae (won at Class 2) 1-1, Global Village (59% Place at Distance) 1st and 3rd, White Frost 1st & 2nd (83% Place RH), Tariq Too 1st twice and 3rd from 3 races, won 4 from 7 at 7f.  None of the 24 have won on Heavy.  Lightning Cloud Ascot form: 1,2, won at Class 2, also won 5 from 9 at 7f. (Bon 12/1, Glo 11/1, Whi 12/1, Tar 10/1, Lig 14/1)

Interakt (right) – pic: goldcupbetting

4.35 (Class 4) Mata Hari Blue 29% Win, 71% Place from 7 races, 50% Place at 6f.  Emiratesdotcom (54% Place at 6f) 20% Win, 60% Place from 5 races.  Seek The Fair Land 1-2 on Soft, won & placed at higher Class than this. (Mat 12/1, Emi 7/1 & Seek 8/1)

5.10 (Class 4) Bunce (won Class 3) Soft/Heavy form: 1,1,2.  Interakt (44% win 78% place at Distance) won 2-5 on same sort of Ground. (6/1 & 13/2)

5.40 (Class 3) Local Hero (Distance winner) won on Soft on Flat & Hurdles, Won a Class higher. (5/2)

Please note these are just my pointers, NOT saying to bet on them just on my say so…
All my own work, so please RT if you use anything or find it interesting:

Sat 17th Dec – Two Football Trebles & 2 Horses

December 17, 2011 Leave a comment

No bet, but hope BIG BUCKS can win again

UPDATE:
Big win from LOYALTY, but no other successes.  Disappointed with the Football.
* * * * *
Thanks for looking at my Blog.  Welcome to new followers, and thanks to existing followers.

A couple of very speculative Football Bets today.  A big price all odds against Treble, and an odds-on Treble.

Hoping to get back to winning ways, after a blank last Saturday.

16/1 Risky Treble
Bristol City to beat Forest (drew)
Portsmouth to beat Southampton
Sheff Wed to beat Huddersfield (drew)

Just under 3/1 Treble
Chelsea to beat Wigan
MK Dons to beat Preston
Crawley to beat Crewe (drew)

Only Small stakes on those today.

We also have a Guest Football Treble today, via @PaulJWatson72
Who has sent me 3 Draws, totalling 62/1
Swansea, Sunderland & Norwich

TWO HORSES:

1.25 Ascot – Renard 3/1 (2nd) Massive effort from Renard. Looked out of it, but battled, and finished 2nd. Bad jump at the last.  8lb rise denied him.

1.50 Lingfield – Loyalty 6/1 each way (WON) Travelled last all the way, cut through the field under a super ride from J.Fanning and finished like a train!

Fri 16th Dec – Wolverhampton & Ascot

CLASSY LASS at Derek Shaw's

WOLVERHAMPTON
We’re off to Wolverhampton again on Friday, for Classy Lass‘ third race.  Hopefully she can build on her two previous runs at the course, now back to 7 furlongs from 5 last time.

It doesn’t look as tough a race as last time to me.  The probable winner will be Baccarat, which I gave on Twitter yesterday (Wed).  He was 3rd in Classy Lass’ last race, and looked a winner in the making next time out, and judging by the card on Sporting Life he will be favourite.

She was 10th of 11 first time out, and 10th of 12 three weeks ago.  Yet again the bookies will probably have her the outsider at a stupid price.  One of the on course bookies had her at an utterly ridiculous price last time we were at Wolverhampton.  Let’s hope one day they will go home regretting that.  Mark Coumbe takes the ride again.

ASCOT
Away from Dunstall Park, my main betting interest is Hazy Tom in the 1.55pm, 2m 0f Class 1 Mitie Kennel Gate Novices Hurdle (Grade 2).
Tote, BetFred and Boyle Sports opened up the best priced at 13/8, but that was gone within an hour.  I had some of that, and a top up at 11/8.
He’s currently best price of 5/4 with most firms.  The main danger should be Molotof.

I’ve been on him the last 3 times, first of which was his bumper win at Worcester.  Hopefully he can repay all the support and do the business again and keep up his unbeaten record.

Thanks for looking.

Minor Blog update, Winning Recent Horse Racing Bets

October 20, 2011 Leave a comment

SHOP DJ - pic: RTE Racing

Just a quick update, as had a good day today, and an easy double on Saturday.  As of late I hadn’t been ‘on form’ so I hadn’t put any horses on here since 8th October.  I did put the below selections on Twitter though.

Saturday’s Double was Frankel 1/3 and Deacon Blues 7/2, which I actually placed on 20th September!
Wonder horse Frankel won by 4 lengths, and Deacon Blues blitzed the QIPCO Champion Sprint.
A nice 5/1 bet.

HORSHAM LAD - pic: Richard Burton

Then today, my first bets this week, since Champions Day, two singles – the first at Thurles, the other Carlisle…
Both WON
: Shop DJ at 5/2 (went off 13/8) by an impressive 8 lengths, and Horsham Lad 7/1.

Wish I had done my Horsham Lad bet earlier when I first picked it out, as it was 10/1.  Just before the off it went in to 9/2, before drifting to 11/2.
He won his first Rules Race by 3 lengths.

I never had any intention of doubling these two up, but if I had of, it paid 27/1.

SUPER FRANKEL - The World's Best Horse

Bit disappointed with the photos really… as was too far away for most, plus they were taken on a mobile.
Here’s the better ones anyway, happy with the Frankel photos, shame they are a little grainy.

QIPCO British Champions Day

BROWN PANTHER

ASCOT – Saturday 15th October 2011

This is the ground-breaking event that the QIPCO British Champions Series leads up to, when the eyes of the racing world will be focused on Ascot for the richest day in British racing history. £3 million in prize money will be on offer across the final races in each of the five QIPCO British Champions Series categories. It represents a fantastic opportunity for the equine stars of the 2011 Flat racing season to compete on one of the world’s greatest stages on one momentous day. Important changes have been made to the autumn race programme in Britain in order to create QIPCO British Champions Day as the major championship climax to the Flat racing season that this country has previously lacked. Now the scene is set for a thrilling raceday on Ascot’s royal turf, when sporting history will be made as the curtain comes down in dramatic fashion on the inaugural QIPCO British Champions Series.

HOOF IT

The QIPCO British Champions Long Distance Cup

With two demanding miles (3,200 metres) of Ascot’s famous turf to negotiate, the £200,000 QIPCO British Champions Long Distance Cup will provide a thorough test of stamina for flat racing’s top stayers as they contest the final major long distance race of the British season

The QIPCO British Champions Sprint Stakes

This six furlong (1,200 metres) contest provides the finale to the QIPCO British Champions Series Sprint category, with prize money of £250,000.

The QIPCO British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes

The £250,000 climax to the QIPCO British Champions Series Fillies & Mares category over 1½ miles (2,400 metres) provides a fantastic end-of-season target for the top female stars of the turf.

FRANKEL

The Queen Elizabeth II Stakes Sponsored by QIPCO (British Champions Mile)

Long recognised as Europe’s mile championship, 1,600 metre races come no bigger than this anywhere on the international stage. With a cool million pounds in prize money, the race now enters a different stratosphere.

The QIPCO Champion Stakes (British Champions Middle Distance)

With £1.3 million in prize money, the QIPCO Champion Stakes will be the most valuable horse race ever run in Britain. Run over 1¼ miles (2,000 metres), this will be the final, pulsating showdown in the QIPCO British Champions Series Middle Distance category.
